The Latitude has a 15.5-inch long paddle face and an 8.25-inch widebody paddle face.
This makes it an excellent paddle for beginners who want a broad striking zone and sweet spot. The Latitude also features a long 5.25′′ handle length, allowing me to play two-handed near the net or from the back of the court. The Latitude’s paddle face is constructed of vinyl, thus it lacks the FiberFlex technology seen on the Prime and AMPED versions, but its paddle face finish provides me with outstanding control. Performance & Design

At a 16mm paddle thickness, this paddle won’t give you the ultimate amount of power if that is the most important aspect to you. However, I had no trouble generating enough power on my shots. Even compared to thinner paddles that typically generate more power, the Selkirk Latitude shouldn’t give you any trouble with generating power. The only exception would be if you know you are a player who already struggles with power.
Spin
For a beginner level racket, this paddle does have decent top spin on the ball. While it won’t be as spin heavy as some of the more expensive paddles on the market, it will generate enough RPMs to get your opponents back-pedaling from your top spin. I would recommend getting used to the paddle for a couple hours to have a better feel for getting the most spin from it.
Control
The control is really where this paddle shines. With its thicker core, the paddle helps to absorb some of the springy/bounciness of the balls when coming into contact with the paddle. This is what helps give the Latitude great control. If you currently have a very basic paddle, I can assure you that getting the Latitude will be a huge upgrade to your control of the ball.
